I’ve put together this development log and small documentation to explain my take on the problem. I feel it will be beneficial to understanding the current solution, not only to myself but to others reading this.
This is not a presentation, and will include failures. They are a natural part of the development process and should be documented, especially considering that I lack experience in some of the technologies this solution uses. That being said, this log may show the process to be more linear than it actually is. For the sake of readability, I’ve constructed this page to follow a logical(ish) pattern. In reality (and in chronological order) many of the sections below overlap. I would have liked to document more of the early stages of development, but it takes time and I must also attend to other matters.
As this is a simple project and doesn’t need to have extensive documentation for end users (like say, an API), an introduction to the problem solving process should be fine, which is what this is. 😄
